As a first-timer, the Symposium helped me to see how our business is changing in so many ways. It also helped me to view topics and solutions from other points of view.
I thought this was a very fun, unique conference. With PSIvet’s massive expansions, I think it is great to travel to other states outside of where PSIvet headquarters is located.
Thanks to the Symposium, we’re going to start improving our tracking of client retention and implement marketing strategies that are focused on the owner as the “hero” of their pet’s story.
After going to the PSIvet Business Symposium, I have already made a list of wellness/mental health resources for all of my staff members. We are looking at new technology platforms to add to our clinic like an online pharmacy, app or loyalty program. I have also learned some new ways to communicate with my staff based on their generation or personality.
We just got back from the Symposium and have already begun making a few changes such as re-evaluating our marketing strategies, resetting price schedules and sending out a survey asking the staff what changes they would like to see. Generational differences are much easier to work with now that we know how to compromise between them.
We’re going to switch to the accounting firm that presented at the Symposium and utilize more PSIvet companies we met. Additionally, we’re making changes to our HR and updating our website based on recommendations from the Symposium.
An excellent meeting covering topics that matter to my business, employees and the bottom line.
Would I recommend the PSIvet Business Symposium? Absolutely. I already have a list of names in my head of colleagues in my geographic area who are not members that I plan to contact and encourage them to join.
This is my first PSIvet conference, and it was the most relevant and important conference I have ever attended in 25 years of practice.
